What are Juvederm and Restylane?
Juvederm and Restylane are both hyaluronic acid fillers that are designed to help rejuvenate the look and feel of the skin. These minimally invasive cosmetic treatments can be injected into specific areas of the face to help enhance facial volume and youthful glow. Unlike Botox, these fillers work by plumping up sections of the skin.
They are both composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body which helps to help the skin maintain moisture while adding volume. Each one also contains lidocaine, which is effective in reducing pain during the injections. Our nurse injector specializes in Juvederm and Restylane injections for all our Missouri patients.

Juvederm and Restylane are versatile treatments that can help enhance different aspects of one’s facial features. How Effective are Juvederm and Restylane?
Both Juvederm and Restylane work very quickly. The results provided vary from patient to patient, but a noticeable improvement in facial volume can be seen immediately after the treatment. These improvements continue to improve over time, but the effects are not permanent. Repeat treatment sessions of Juvederm will be required after 12 months to maintain results. Restylane may last somewhere between 6 to 18 months depending on the area(s) injected.
